A nightmare. I have 2 incomplete vids atm. 1 might be so bad it won't be released. 1's a comedy sketch (likely unreleased) and the other is a tutorial -this should be released in hopefully 2 weeks. Underestimated the willpower needed to record myself so that has lead to procrastination as well. Lots of things to work on, being camera shy, working out bad audio quality, rerecording stuff requiring a second leg of willpower. My video editor also has high standards, so the tutorial could have been out already, I just need to rescript the ending, rerecord it and then get him to edit it.
The third video will be on a stock pitch. I'm not giving up, just progress is slow and lots of mistakes being made.
I figured as much. I dont know about your setup, but for a beginner maybe just do a voice over without a camera to get that confidence up and go from there :) Thats the best i have right now ! good luck
When the videos are up, I'd love ur feedback. I know I'm gonna absolutely suck in the beginning. Goal is just to improve with every video.
The experience is like jumping into a pool when ur body hasn't adapted to the cold. You can gradually dip ur body into the water, or just completely submerge. I find that completely submerging to be my go to cuz it takes 2 secs for my body to adapt. Gotta remind myself to just do that for recording as well.
thanks for the write up. How did your deep dive into video production turn out ?
Thanks for following up!
